Happy Canada Day! Be Summer Ready!

"how do I get my makeup to stop melting off?" The answer..

Red Lipstick Maple Leaf

Summer is here, the BBQ’s have commenced along with the camping trips and long warm nights. A lot of us are getting concerned with the warmer weather regarding our clothing, makeup melting off, and hair going crazy.

Here are few tips to stay in check, keep cool and prevent-

Keep it lightweight and flowy people! Crop top paired with a flowing midi skirt, boyfriend jeans and a loose fitted tank, do not forget to find those live in sandals that go with every outfit such as the Birkenstock’s. Thankfully these super comfortable gems are on the trend list this year. Anther staple is a good ‘ol maxi skirt and or dress. Great during the day paired with some flats and jean jacket(if need be) and so easy to stay in the same outfit for night, just swap the shoes for fancy sandals, ditch the jean jacket and you are ready to take on the night.

A very close friend of mine is in Hong Kong at the moment, and although she has been there many times it surprises me that she hasn’t gotten used to the humidity in terms of her makeup. Meaning, why don’t you have that down pat yet i’m thinking? So she cried out for help, “how do I get my makeup to stop melting off?” The answer? Just don’t put much on. Simple as that. As the warmer months have hit us now, its time to dial down the layers and keep it ultra simple. Just use what you need. Tinted moisturizer is perfect for the fact that it takes care of your moisturizer , SPF, and a bit of coverage. I usually prefer a bit more coverage than the standard tinted moisturizer delivers so in certain areas of need adding a little concealer is a good touch. Pat on a translucent powder, blush and a few coats of waterproof mascara. done! Just finish with a bold lip. Summer is the time for natural beauty and when in doubt throw on a lip my friends.
